Pathway overview
A provisional visa for skilled workers nominated by a state/territory or sponsored by an eligible relative, to live and work in regional Australia.
Verified directly from Home Affairs: must be nominated by a state/territory government agency OR sponsored by an eligible relative, have an occupation on a relevant skilled list, a suitable skills assessment, an invitation to apply, and satisfy the points test. Provisional visa, valid 5 years, holder must live/work/study in a designated regional area; eligible for permanent residence (subclass 191) after 3 years. Only the points-test floor (65) is encoded as a rule here — nomination/sponsorship and the regional-area condition aren't checked by this tool yet. Visa cost from AUD 6,140 (as published at time of research).
