For non-EU/EEA/Swiss remote workers or self-employed digital nomads with foreign-sourced income, living in Hungary.

Verified via WebSearch, cross-referenced across multiple independent sources: you need a verifiable employment relationship with a company registered outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland (or a self-owned business generating certified income from outside Hungary) paying at least €3,000/month net (€36,000/year), and purchased or rented property in Hungary. The White Card is issued for 1 year, extendable once for the same period. Maintaining at least the €3,000/month net income is an ongoing condition throughout your stay — if it drops below that, OIF may withdraw the card; this checker verifies the income floor at the point of application only. Holders generally don't pay Hungarian income tax if they reside fewer than 183 days per year.
