Pathway overview
For non-EU highly qualified workers with a binding job offer at Luxembourg's 2026 salary threshold.
Verified via WebSearch, cross-referenced across multiple independent sources: you need a binding job offer or contract for at least 6 months, a relevant higher-education degree (or at least 5 years of specialised professional experience), and a minimum gross annual salary of €65,652 — effective 3 March 2026 (up from €63,408). Applications filed before that date are assessed under the previous threshold; this checker uses the current €65,652 figure. Since June 2024, Luxembourg applies one single threshold to all applications — the previous lower rate for shortage occupations has been abolished. If your salary falls short, you'd instead need the Salaried Worker Permit, subject to a labour market test.
