Pathway overview
For workers with at least 2 years of training or experience, sponsored by a U.S. employer through PERM labor certification, for a green card.
Verified directly from USCIS's own EB-3 overview page and Policy Manual: your U.S. employer must obtain PERM labor certification from the Department of Labor — a threshold requirement for all EB-3 sub-categories without exception, testing the domestic labor market at the prevailing wage — and offer you a job requiring at least 2 years of training or experience (relevant post-secondary education may count). You must also meet any educational, training, or experience requirements of the specific job opportunity. EB-3's other two sub-categories — Professionals (requiring a bachelor's degree, education can't be substituted with experience) and Other Workers/unskilled (requiring less than 2 years) — are real, distinct routes with their own different criteria, not modeled by this program entry.
