Pathway overview
For individuals with extraordinary ability in the sciences, education, business, or athletics, petitioned for by a U.S. employer or agent.
Verified directly from the USCIS Policy Manual: a U.S. employer or agent must file Form I-129 as petitioner, establishing that you have extraordinary ability demonstrated by sustained national or international acclaim, with achievements recognized through extensive documentation, and that you're coming to continue work in that area. Supporting evidence must show either a major internationally recognized award (such as a Nobel Prize) or at least 3 of 8 specific evidentiary criteria plus USCIS's own "totality of the evidence" review — both are genuinely case-by-case officer judgment calls and aren't reduced to a checked rule by this tool; only the requirement for a U.S. petitioner is checked here.
